Terms of Service

By accessing or using Bild Quote ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users including homeowners who submit renovation projects ("Homeowners") and contractors who purchase leads ("Contractors"). Additional role-specific terms are outlined in the relevant sections below.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform following notice of changes constitutes acceptance.

To use Bild Quote you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to enter contracts in Canada
• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

Contractor accounts additionally require:

• A valid Canadian business registration
• Current general liability insurance (minimum $2M)
• Trade or contractor license where required by provincial law

Bild Quote reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any account at its sole discretion.

As a Homeowner, you agree that:

• All project information submitted is accurate, complete, and describes a genuine renovation project
• You are the property owner or have authority to commission the described work
• You will respond to contractor inquiries in good faith
• Submitting a project does not obligate you to hire any contractor
• Your contact information will be shared with up to 3 contractors who purchase your lead

Prohibited use: Submitting fake, duplicate, or speculative projects for any purpose is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account termination.

As a Contractor, you agree that:

• All credentials submitted during verification are genuine and current
• You will maintain valid insurance and licensing for the duration of your account
• Lead purchases are final and non-refundable except as outlined in our Payments & Lead Pricing section
• You will contact homeowners professionally and in accordance with applicable anti-spam law (CASL)
• You will not share, resell, or distribute purchased lead contact information
• You will not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or business to homeowners

Bild Quote charges no commission on projects you win. Lead pricing is the only platform fee contractors pay.

Bild Quote operates on a per-lead pricing model. Each lead carries an individual price determined by project type, budget range, city, and urgency level. There are no subscriptions, no credit bundles, and no monthly fees.

• Lead prices are displayed before purchase — you always see the cost before committing
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe at the time of each lead purchase
• All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes
• Bild Quote reserves the right to adjust lead pricing at any time; prices are locked at the moment of purchase

Refund policy: Lead purchases are generally non-refundable. Refund requests will be reviewed if: (a) the homeowner's contact information was demonstrably incorrect, or (b) the lead was fraudulent. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase.

The following conduct is prohibited on the Bild Quote platform:

• Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent project or business information
• Circumventing the lead system by contacting homeowners outside the platform to avoid paying for a lead
• Creating multiple accounts to abuse credit promotions or refund policies
• Scraping, automated querying, or any unauthorized access to platform data
• Harassment, threatening behaviour, or discrimination toward any user
• Using the platform for any purpose other than its intended use as a renovation lead marketplace

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, permanent ban, forfeiture of credits, and/or legal action.

Bild Quote is a lead marketplace — we connect homeowners with contractors but are not a party to any contract between them. We do not:

• Guarantee that any homeowner will proceed with a project
• Guarantee the quality of any contractor's work
• Mediate disputes between homeowners and contractors
• Warrant the accuracy of contractor credentials beyond our verification process

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bild Quote's total liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim, not to exceed $500 CAD.

All content, design, trademarks, and software comprising the Bild Quote platform are owned by Bild Quote Inc. or its licensors.

• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute platform content without written permission
• By submitting project photos or descriptions, you grant Bild Quote a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform
• Bild Quote's name, logo, and branding may not be used in any way that suggests endorsement without prior written consent

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
